The directors and associates have all known and worked with one another in different roles, for different public and private sector organisations over a number of years. We have first-hand knowledge of the structures of national, regional and local government and its delivery agencies, the policy areas in which they operate and the public funding streams (in particular the RDPE and LEADER) provided to support rural development. We are committed to rural development and share our knowledge and professional expertise to deliver joined-up services to the rural community.
That professional expertise and shared purpose has come together in RDS to provide clients with the benefits of the accumulated knowledge that crosses traditional administrative boundaries that divide rural development. We are experienced in developing policy and practice in the areas of land management and agriculture, the environment, including catchment sensitive farming and protected landscapes, business management, forestry, tourism, recreation, sustainable development, food and farming, economic development and rural regeneration.
We allocate a project lead as the key client contact who is able to call on the pool of experience and expertise within the company to get the job done. We offer clients a strength in depth, coupled with a light touch, flexible service that reduces overhead costs and keeps working relationships as simple and direct as possible.
